ABOUT THE JOB

As a Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for working with our engineering teams, product management team and customers to provide deep technical knowledge about Rubrik’s cloud solutions. In this role you will:

  • Assist Product Management on the development, management, and communication of the product roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Advise and aid our engineering teams on how and when to build products and features from a customer perspective.
  • Test Alpha and Beta versions of new products and features as they are being developed and providing feedback to our engineering teams. 
  • Produce detailed solution architecture documents and white papers on features and functions of Rubrik products for internal and external audiences
  • Help Rubrik customers deploy new products and features in their environment and provide feedback to internal teams. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise to our field teams around specific product disciplines.
  • Work on special projects including but not limited to: Performance testing, product qualification, alliance partner product integration and automation.
  • Assist with technical competitive analysis.
  • Provide technical presentations about Rubrik products and features to internal engineering and field teams, new and existing customers, and industry seminars. 

ABOUT YOU

  • 12+ years of overall work experience in the commercial and/or enterprise IT space as a database administrator, professional services engineer, database field engineer or product specialist. 
  • You must have a deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and their data protection & security needs.
  • Experience managing and/or deploying databases and supporting underlying infrastructure.
  • A Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience deploying databases, hardening and performance tuning databases on prem and/or in AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with PaaS databases such as AWS RDS and/or Azure SQL.
  • Implementation or Architect level certification in Oracle and/or SQL preferred.
  • Experience creating scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Go and JavaScript preferred.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms desirable but not required.
  • Data protection experience desirable but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience writing complex documentation. 
  • Experience presenting technical material to small and large audiences.
  • A desire to continuously learn and have fun.
